Here's my third entry for The Play Date Cafe Colour Splash Challenge. My final post for the night, and supply list to come. I have a local, small, craft store called Artco about five minutes away from my house. I crave time to sneak in. It's really all about sneaking in. Taking two two-year-old twins is not my idea of a satisfying Artco trip. That's pure desperation. But, on Saturday night, I had the most fantastic Artco experience of my life. They hold classes once a month for stampers and scrappers. They open the store from 7 p.m. until midnight (in my mind, I thought how on earth will Stephanie and I stay that late???) and it's a most satisfying experience. Our own table for two, covered with kraft paper, an entire store to browse at 20% off, plus one coveted 40% item, four projects to complete, food, access to all their punches and dies, and the best part of the entire evening - they trust you to use their ribbon cutting counter! I could be a ribbon girl! Almost my entire button stash comes from Artco - Crystalline name brand. I couldn't be happier with Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits, and I know I tend to go a bit overboard with them. This card is going to someone who is as button happy as me!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC25 no. 2
This is my favorite of the three for The Play Date Cafe Colour Splash Challenge. There's something about this card that makes me think of butterscotch candies, and now I'm craving them. Phooey on blogpost. I'm having a hard time copying and pasting supplies. I'll post them later when my DH isn't telling me that rest is a good thing and it's late and I should come to bed!
The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC25 no. 1
I had a fabulous time meeting up with friends at school so we could take over the library on a Saturday afternoon and "play" to our hearts content. I, of course, brought a small portion of my stamping belongings with the intent of working on this Play Date Cafe Colour Splash Challenge. Here are my entries. Black, white, and a dash of orange. These buttons are the closest thing to orange I own in my stash.
My friend Stephanie generously gave me some Eclipse Tape (name?) to try out with this card as I really intended to do some masking here, but either I wasn't patient enough, or maybe this tape just isn't for me. Readers out there, if you have suggestions for me, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Supplies (for all three entries):
Stamps: Blooming Button Bits and Everyday Button Bits (Papertrey Ink), Lined Background (Impress)
Ink: Basic Black (SU!)
Cardstock: True Black and Stamper's White (Papertrey Ink)
Embellishments: Ribbon (unknown) and Buttons (Crystalline), DMC white & black floss
Thank you, as always, for stopping by!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC24 no. 1
Here's one of my entries for the Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC24. I have to admit, plum, lavender, and cream are much harder for me than blue, cream, and darker blue! I don't own these colors and had to rummage through cardstock samplers' to come up with this cardstock and ask my friend Stephanie to bring stamp pads with her! Still have time to come up with something else, and I hope I do! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Lined Background (Impress), Vintage Picnic (Papertrey), Sentiment from Everyday Button Bits (Papertrey)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (SU!), Plum Pudding (Papertrey)

Tools: Scallop Oval Punch and Oval Punch (SU!), Apron Lace (Fiskars), Corner Rounder (EK Success)
Mojo Monday Challenge no.133
Here's my entry for my third Mojo Monday Challenge. This time, I found a 6 x 6 scrapbook pad called Lily Kate by Basic Grey. I completely forgot I had it! Last night my friend Stephanie and I stamped and when I saw this sketch, I thought it needs a poofy flower. She said, "Don't do it." Even though I participate in different challenges, I have yet to tire of these flowers. She told me people who read my blog, just might! Sorry, Stephanie, I really did try, but this is what I came up with! Thank you for stopping by!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue (SU!)
Designer Paper: Lily Kate (Basic Grey)
Stamp: Lined Background (Impress)
Ink: Versamark and Creamy Caramel (SU!)
Embellishments: Spring Rain Ribbon (Papertrey), Spring Moss button (Papertrey), Mowed Grass Dewdrops

The Playdate Cafe Challenge PDCC23 Blue No. 1
I love, love, love blue. I always have. If I could have everything in blue and white in my house, I would. Maybe it's the Greek in me. Maybe it's the flannel pajama mommy in me. I think it was fate for me to find the Playdate Cafe Blue challenge! It's my first Playdate Cafe challenge, and Martha Stewart inspired photo! No going wrong there....I did have hydrangeas at my wedding. I couldn't make up my mind, so I'm posting all four of these cards. I've made them all for my mom. There's no sentiments, because I haven't figured out what they'll be for, but I might just give them to her as a set.
Supplies (for all cards):
Papertrey Vintage Cream cardstock, Stampin' Up Brocade Blue cardstock, Stampin' Up Bashful Blue cardstock, Stampin' Up Brocade Blue ink, Papertrey Enchanted Evening vintage buttons, Martha Stewart hydrangea punch, Stampin' Up large flower punch, Marvy Uchida Extra Giga Scallop Punch, Stampin' Up curvy label punch, Stampin' Up French Script background stamp, Stampin' Up Friendly Wheels, Stampin' Up Bella Toile background stamp, Fiskars apron lace border punch, Stampin' Up Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, Michaels' blue ribbon, DMC floss

Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge 12: String
This Cosmo Cricket Jitterbug paper is great! I saw this sketch in Papercraft's Go to Sketches magazine and knew I wanted to try it when I saw Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge 12: String. So I pulled out my Janome Sew Mini and got to work, and tried handstitching again using my Bazzill Paper Basics flower stencil. I used my SU! mat pack, pierced the rose colored paper, then went back and handstitched the flower. I put SU! Crystal Effects on the center of the flower, and since I wanted buttons, I used a whole row of them. I'm sending this card as a RAK as part of the Splitcoaststampers forum. Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket's Jitterbug - Miss Molly, Georgia Girl, Peggy Sue, and Lil Suzie
Cardstock: Speckletone Kraft
Embellishments: buttons, DMC floss no. 437, twill tape
Tools: SU! Crystal Effects, Bazzill Basics Paper Flower Stencil, SU! mat pack
Just a test...
Miguel and I gave up chocolate for Lent and we're waiting until midnight so we can have some! Crazy I know, but it's been a tradition for a few years now. I've already made a card, but I'm waiting for the crystal effects to dry before taking a photo and uploading.
So I thought I'd do some html practice! Here goes....One of my most favorite websites to visit is Splitcoaststampers.
Mojo Monday Challenge no. 132
Matthew and Mary Ella took luxurious naps today (three hours!) so instead of working on this card tonight, I got some play time during the day time! This entry is for Mojo Monday's Challenge no. 132. Something about this card reminds me of Holly Hobby and patchwork quilts. It has some of my loves - poofy flowers, taffeta ribbon, and my new punches. Mojo Monday's challenges are intimidating to me - I look at all the layers and have no idea what to do! Thankfully I've had this set of Cosmo Cricket Jitterbug papers. These papers made this card so easy to complete when everything coordinates so well! This card measures 5 x 5 inches to accommodate my new extra giga scallop punch. For girls like me with no nestabilities dies, these punches are fantastic. So happy I finally have one and got to use it today!
Supplies:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket's Jitterbug - Miss Molly, Georgia Girl, Peggy Sue, and Lil Suzie
Cardstock: Speckletone Kraft
Stamp Set: friends from SU! Tiny Tags set
Embellishments: button, brad, SU! chocolate chip taffeta ribbon, Martha Stewart's bakers twine
Tools: SU! flower punch, Marvy Uchida Extra Giga Scallop punch, corner rounder punch

CPS no. 160 Challenge
I made this simple 3 x 6 inch card for the CPS no. 160 challenge this week. The majority of the supplies are all new goodies! These colors are so beautiful together. I don't think this designer paper is going to last very long...
Supplies: Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Green Boutique designer paper (Papertrey Ink); Vintage Labels stamp set (Stampin' Up!); apron lace border punch (Fiskars), white twill (), baker's twine (Martha Stewart), scallop border punch (Stampin' Up!), clear button
Embellish Magazine's Challenge Entry No. 2
For my second entry for Embellish Magazine's Challenge, I wanted to do hand stitching but was skeptical about doing a whole design free-hand. This is the first time I've ever used my flower stencils by Bazzill Basics Paper, but they worked perfectly. I punched all my holes first using my SU! mat pack, then went back with the floss. There was something so immensely satisfying that brought me back to childhood days and sewing cards. This card was just relaxation in the making!
Supplies: Kraft cardstock (by Speckletone); DMC floss, hello stamp (SU! Tiny Tags); Aqua Mist Itty Bitty designer paper, Sweet blush cardstock, Vintage Holiday Buttons Mix; (all by Papertrey Ink); Bazzill Basics Paper flower stencils; jewelry tag punch (SU!)
Embellish Magazine's Challenge Entry No. 1
I've used my brand-new Janome Sew Mini machine for one card, which was for a challenge, that I never got posted in enough time. So when I came across this Embellish Magazine's Challenge to use the colors sweet blush, aqua mist, and kraft and stitching of some kind, I felt like it was calling to me! So I made two entries. The first is for one of my sister's friends who just had a baby girl. Still can't get enough of these poofy flowers. I think they might just be appearing on every card I can get them on for awhile!
Supplies: Kraft cardstock (by Speckletone); vellum; baker's twine (Martha Stewart), baby stamp (SU! Tiny Tags); border scallop edge punch (SU!), Sweet Blush Itty Bitty designer paper, Aqua Mist Itty Bitty designer paper, Sweet Blush satin ribbon, Aqua Mist cardstock, and white button (all by Papertrey Ink)
